Silent Sky is based on real female pioneers. Henrietta Leavitt, an intelligent, educated woman enthralled by astronomy, and excited to be hired to work in Harvard’s Observatory, comes to Cambridge full of expectations. But, this is the early 1900s. The women astronomers at Harvard are not even allowed to use the telescope! Not just another play about women striving for recognition in the in the workplace, “Silent Sky” is a thrilling tale about love, life, and legacy.
