Basement

The AND company presented an Equity Showcase production of Basement written by Robert Rosenbaum, directed by Joan Kane at Theater 54 at Shetler Studios, 244 West 54th St, 12th floor and played to packed houses and a magnificent audience response. The show opened November 17, 2017.

Basement is a contemporary drama set in Brooklyn, NY, in a world overshadowed by fear. When the dreaded bombing really happens, a single father and daughter retreat to their basement shelter, and are faced with the choice of which neighbors to let in their safe haven. Soon, conflicts arise from the ethnic diversity of the occupants. When the building above is bombed, the nine neighbors are trapped, and must work together to survive the night… and each other.
